It is an unforgettable story about the essential wisdom of listening to our heart and above all, following our dreams.

Rating: ⭐⭐⭐

Review:

'When you really want something, the whole universe conspires in helping you to achieve it.'

(spoilers alert)

The more famous and suggestive this book is, the least interesting I found its story. Its kind of terrible. Their is a boy Santiago, who travels all his way from Spain to Pyramids of Egypt to find some sort of treasure (basically he himself doesn't know about the treasure). On his way, he learnt several natural languages for instance, "The language of the world", and "Soul of the world" and what he found was "Soul of the god" is his own soul

This book has two perspectives as per the reader.

If you find quoted phrases fascinating, go for it. If you find the above quoted line fascinating and interesting and life changing, then you may love this book but if you can't stand self help books or can't stand these quotes then it's not your cup of tea.

Talking about the rating, three stars because there is still something in it. It's not totally waste of time and money. Santiago's journey, the people he met, his passion about his dreams, nature he talks to and his learnings will motivate you though. You can relate the things with our childhood fantasies. It is all about discovering your personal legend and chasing your dreams regardless of any hurdles, by spiritually connecting with the universe, the god, with yourselves.

 Teachings:

It can set you back towards achieving your goals.

People try to do what other people expect from them for instance, their career even though they hate being judged, controlled and hate the work because everyone says or does. This will help you to encourage yourself to opt for what you actually want to pursue.

Feeling a deeper spiritual connection with everything or everyone, feeling god inside you, connecting with oneself, unafraid of failing/ falling in your challenges and moving ahead passing all hurdles are some of the few things from the book.
